Construction Update August 2018

07 August 2018

Construction is well under way at One Crown Place.

Global construction firm Mace, began work on site at One Crown Place in April and have been busy building the superstructure and pouring the concrete for the lift cores for both the office and residential elements of the scheme. The image above shows the two residential lift cores to the north and south of the site and the office lift cores inbetween (up to floor 6).

Over the next two months we will:

  • Complete the basement and ground floor concrete slabs
  • Commence the structural steel frame for the offices
  • Complete the concrete lift cores to floor 12

External cladding will commence this coming Winter.

Once completed, One Crown Place will house two residential towers located above 6 floors of office space to meet the requirements of modern day occupiers who want to live and work in the same area. The residential accommodation will provide a total of 246 private apartments.

The office space is to be housed in a new building on Crown Place and the refurbished 54 Wilson Street building, providing 109,000 sq ft and 21,000 sq ft of net floor area respectively. Retail space is to be distributed across the ground floor of all of the buildings and a boutique hotel will be located in the refurbished Georgian terrace on Sun Street. Global property firm CBRE was appointed by AlloyMtd Group in 2015 to act as Development Manager, and the CBRE Residential Sales and Office Leasing teams have been brought on board to sell the apartments and lease the commercial space.

Construction is set to be completed in Spring 2021.
